5 Gold Rings

5 days down, 7 to go! 23.6 miles down, 36.4 to go!

5 Gold Rings this morning so Lee and I made our way to Ramsden’s Jewellers in Chester-le-Street. The run was about 5 miles and fairly flat with slopes downhill for a change. Thanks to Stephen D again today for the photo above and the lift. Thanks also to Juliet who beeped at us at Chester-le-Street. We’d heard it but we weren’t sure who it was until I got a tweet later on.

I also received tweets from Ross and Paul today to say they had worn their Percy Hedley vests at parkrun. How amazing was that? Just when you think the support couldn’t get any better and then you hear about this. Paul finished in a fantastic 10th place and Ross won his run! Unbelievable.

I passed the £500 mark last night, just after my last post. Thanks to everyone who has donated so far and especially to Emma who’s donation sent me to £510. Emma will be joining me tomorrow so I can’t wait to thank her and others in person.

Half way point tomorrow morning with a 10k around Chester Park. It’s the 6th day so I’m celebrating 6 Geese-a-Laying. Hope we see some geese, it’s a bit cold! I have a few names down for this one so hopefully we’ll have another good turnout.

Thanks again,

Paul
