A New PB!

Post Type

Getting a new personal best always feels great but shaving 1:01 off it feels even better!

I’ve been happy with my times lately at Durham parkrun and I don’t always run every week to try and beat my previous. I always run on how I feel and that morning I gave it some. I’ve been getting between 24 and 25 minutes for Durham and I’m more than happy with that. My previous best was 24 mins exactly. It did cross my mind, why didn’t I just give it some more when crossing the line and I would have broken into 23 minutes. The truth is I had nothing left and I was unaware of my time anyway. I knew I’d started this run well though which is why I didn’t hold back. I shaved 1:01 off meaning my new PB was 22:59.

To say I’m happy is an understatement. I’ve come along way with my running this year. Will I keep that time up? Who knows but I’m going to continue with my running and we’ll see how it goes.

Every second counts…
