A Special Visit To A Special Charity

Post Type

Lee and I had the absolute honour of visiting Tiny Lives a few weeks ago. It was great to see where the money we raised was going and it made us feel even more proud (if that’s possible).

A premature baby may look tiny and fragile to touch but never underestimate the courage, strength and determination of a baby born too soon – Julia Toivonen.

Take a second to study the picture above. This isn’t an egg warmer, it’s a hat for a premature baby. These little fighters would fit in your hand and I was certainly fighting back my emotions. Was the challenge worth it? If anyone ever asks me that question again, I’ll probably just laugh in their face.

This will be my last post in this category. It’s another chapter of my journey complete and there are many more to come. I’m so excited by the thought of what twists and turns are coming up. I’m really enjoying this journey, if you can’t already tell. I’ve met some fantastic people, I’m keeping fit and we raised a bit of money in the process. The 1415.63 raised in this challenge makes the grand total a whopping £2760.63!

Thanks to everyone who has supported so far. I’m taking a much needed break from fundraising now but I promise I’ll be back. Please consider our chosen charities if you’re thinking of fundraising yourself and all the best. Keep me posted on your progress.
