Golden, Delicious and Healthy

Post Type

I jumped at the chance of reviewing this product as I knew we were getting low on oil. I said to my Wife to leave it off the shopping list as I was asked to review British Rapeseed Oil from Borderfields.

As you can see from the picture above, it arrived beautifully presented. The rapeseed oil is farm grown in the United Kingdom and is a wonderful golden oil that’s as healthy as it is tasty. Borderfields told me that all they do is gently press it and bottle it – nothing more, nothing less.

Delightfully pure, simple and natural, Borderfields Cold Pressed Rapeseed Oil has a near perfect blend of omega 3, omega 6 and omega 9 – that’s ten times the omega 3 of olive oil. It’s also available in 500ml and 250ml bottles.

The website states that the oil is really versatile. We used it in salads and for baking as we don’t do much frying. The oil had a delicious yet subtle nutty flavour, that was perfect for our leafy salads.

With half the saturated fat of olive oil, Borderfields Cold Pressed Rapeseed Oil is a healthy alternative to butter when baking bread. We love to make home-made pizzas and we ran out of our old oil just as we were making them the other day. My Wife panicked and then I reminded her of the Borderfields Rapeseed Oil in the cupboard!

The warm, earthy flavours of the oil took our baking to a new level. The dough was perfectly smooth once we’d finished kneading it, which made it great for rolling out for our pizzas.

I’d highly recommend giving Borderfields Rapeseed Oil a try. Golden, delicious and healthy.
