Lee and I had the absolute honour of visiting Tiny Lives a few weeks ago. It was great to see where the money we raised was going and it made us feel even more proud (if that’s possible). +

Done and Dusted
I’m not going to lie, it felt great completing the challenge. We may not have done 12 in one day but we did run 12 parkruns and we ran them all for Tiny Lives. +
Not Exactly The Headline We Wanted
A running friend of mine said “Any publicity is good publicity.” He’s absolutely right. If it wasn’t for me collapsing, we probably wouldn’t have even made it into the papers or raised as much money as we did! +
The 11 parkruns of Christmas
The day after our ‘attempted’ charity challenge I posted this to my personal Facebook wall: +
Newcastle parkrun
By the time we got to Newcastle it was getting dark. I never imagined we would be so far behind. Some people would call it bad planning, I call it a charity challenge and who cares? +
South Shields parkrun
We arrived at South Shields and I heard Adam and Emma “Daddy, Daddy!” I almost fell to my knees but I thought I’d save that for later. I cuddled Adam and didn’t want to let go. This should have been my last run of the day, I just didn’t know how to say enough’s enough. +
Sunderland parkrun
Not exactly sure of how late we arrived at Sunderland but I’m guessing maybe an hour to an hour and a half. As I said earlier, we didn’t care but we had to keep people up to date on social media incase they wanted to join us. +
Stewart parkrun
Despite the smiles above, we were really struggling. Lee agrees that these middle few runs were the hardest. We were knackered, hungry and just wanted to crack on and complete the challenge. +
Albert parkrun
Albert parkrun was apparently just around the corner so we rolled up and asked for Tracey. Lee had received an email from her and she said that some of them would hang around after their official parkrun to support us. I don’t think either of us expected the welcome we received form Albert parkrun. +
Tees Barrage parkrun
9:05am, Lee and I ran to the starting line. Tees Barrage had very kindly waited and we were introduced to the other fellow parkrunners. We just had time to grab our Santa hats, thanks for waiting guys! +
