Clean Eating

Post Type

Have you heard the saying about abs being made in the kitchen? Well, it’s partly true. Like most things in life, balance is often the key. Combine good nutritional advice with regular exercise and it could give you the results you desire.

Right now, I’m on a pre-Christmas programme. I know, I know, I’ve said the c word already! I’m not one for counting festive calories so I’ll be pretty good now and then I won’t need to worry that much come January.

Throughout the year I do have some simple nutrition and gym guidelines. Fitness wise, I do a short run on a Tuesday and a Thursday. Weights is three times a week, normally a Monday, Wednesday plus an early morning workout over the weekend.

Nutrition wise I’m pretty much Monday to Wednesday alcohol free.  I don’t have a cheat day when it comes to food or alcohol, I have cheat days if you want to label it as that. During the day I eat a lot of eggs, scrambled and poached and I also eat a lot of nuts and fruit. I drink lots of water too as I find it curbs my hunger and also helps with my eczema.

Since working with Slendertone and their fabulous Connect Abs Belt, I’ve been combining this plus all of the above and receiving great results. I noticed it immediately after just four weeks. It’s easy to use too, I’ve even been wearing mine while preparing our meals! If you want body confidence and to feel fit and healthy, this is the perfect way to achieve it. Consider Slendertone today, exercise regularly and eat clean to receive amazing results. If you’re interested to know the technology behind Slendertone, I’ve embedded a video below for your convenience.

I’ve been toying with the idea of creating a recipe section to my blog and this post may well be the catalyst! My Wife and I create some lovely home-made pizzas and curries – Balti, Madras, Vindaloo and Pathia to name just a few. All of them are healthy, taste better than takeaways and we have great fun making them on an evening once the kids have gone to bed. Just be careful as to what type of oil and how much you use.

We actually get the kids involved when we make the pizzas. They love to help out and get their hands dirty! They are starting to get a good understanding of foods and what vitamins they include. The kid love to eat all of the ingredients while making the pizzas though so if you try it, make sure you have plenty, haha. We use a bread maker to create the bases and usually get four out of a mix. We roll them pretty thin so they’re Italian style and better for you. We’re also careful over the selection of meats and some are better for you than others.

I hope you found this blog post useful? I think getting yourself into a good routine for the majority of the week is crucial. I’ll keep you posted as to how my recipe idea goes!
