Happy New Year

Post Type

A very Happy New Year to you all and I hope this year brings you lots of good health and happiness.

I hope you all had a great Christmas and that the big fella visited your house. Speaking of which, here’s a little video I made and shared just before the big day. It’s taken from our epic ‘Kidventure’ trip last year with Reima.

Speaking of good health, you may or may not have noticed I’ve been pretty quiet here on the blog and on my social media channels. Here’s why…

Happy New Year - Quote

My Dad has recently been diagnosed with leukaemia. I always thought I’d never post such a personal statement on my blog. Then I remembered the part in Elf where Santa’s sleigh flew on Christmas spirit alone. If it’s ok with you guys, I’d like to ask you all to spare a thought please. No comments necessary, just your thoughts and prayers. Thank-you.

So Christmas has been tough for my Dad and our family. He’s been in and out of hospital and he spent Christmas Day and New Years Day with the hardworking and selfless Doctor’s and Nurses. When I swung by on Christmas Day, it amazed me just how many staff cars were in the car park. I take my hat off to you for giving up your Christmas with your own family to help those in need.

All we can do is take one day at a time and see how he responds to the limited treatment he can have. I’m slowly getting back into a routine today and I’ve just finished my first gym session of 2019 at David Lloyd Clubs! It went ok actually and I’ll share the training programme I’m using in my next blog post.

Happy New Year - Parents

It seemed fitting to share a photo of me with my parents. I’m unsure what year this was taken but I look to be a similar age to that of my own little boy. Thanks for reading and thanks for your thoughts and prayers.
